On her left hand, third finger there was a slim golden band that said she had given herself to him.

And on his hand was a matching gold band that said his soul rested in every tear that fell from her eyes.

“You’re doing it again,” she grumbled, running a hand down the column of his neck, her fingers curving around and sweeping into his hair. “That ‘thing’ where you look at me and I don’t know why I start blushing.”
